Voters to Challenge U.S. Election:

…Cliff Arnebeck, a lawyer representing a group of voters challenging the Ohio result, claimed new analysis of various anomalies suggested it was rigged.

“We’ll be calling for a reversal of the result based on evidence developed in the course of litigation,” Mr Arnebeck told The Guardian yesterday. “Exit polling and substantial irregularities excluded votes that should have been counted. There is evidence that votes cast for one candidate were moved to the column of the other candidate.”

It’s unbelievably shameful the extent to which this story has been downplayed in the American press. See also: The Nation: More on the ‘Stolen Election’

There are many states where Kerry won by a tighter victory than Bush did in Ohio. I don’t sense the same urgent attention to these victories.

“Ted”, in Ohio there are reports of widespread voting irregularities and repression that aren’t found in every other state.

Why would there be, Ted? That tight margin of Kerry’s could very well have been privy to the same inconsistencies … thereby indicating it wasn’t such a tight margin after all. If the Republican party has an issue with those tight margins where Kerry won, perhaps they should initiate an inquiry. Although I doubt they would, I doubt it would serve their interests.

Why do people keep coming in here expecting some kind of unbiased forum? Or some kind of call for a mediation between one ideology and the other? Emily is very clear about her biases and her reasons for forming them. This isn’t a judicial panel, it’s a blog.
