Fuck. Today is a nightmare and I can’t wake up.

America’s engaged in an ideological civil war. I’ve been in conversation all day with like-minded people and while there is no hope in the system, there is hope in community.
Good discussion here. All of us have something to offer. Go to a rally today in a city near you - let’s gather.

Nightmare, most definitely. It’s terrible. And sad sad sad.

watching the BBC cover the results of the election was horrifying. The way they talked about Americans was so depressing and shocking. George Bush is a swaggering moron who bullies others into following rules that he himself doesn’t feel he should have to follow. So, the foreign press can only assume that those who vote for Bush approve of this type of behavior and in fact encourage it. I want to wave my hands, stomp my feet, and scream that my morals separate me from the man elected to respresent America.

America, not my country, because I feel disconncted. Who are these hate-mongers who want to oppress homosexuals just because they are not comfortable with their own sexuality? Why does a majority always need to oppress a minority? And why the heck does Gentile Law need to shoved down my Jewish throat?

Keep your religion in your home where it belongs, and don’t try to force it into mine.

I just don’t get it. I don’t understand the red states. Part of me thinks that America should be 2 countries because there are such polar ideals, and I am tired of living under a regime that doesn’t honor any of the truths or beauties that I hold dear.
