sexuality and history topics

Of all of my new classes, by far the most interesting subject matter is in History of Sexualities. We’re taking a U.S.-centric look.

The final assignment, a ~10-page paper due at the end of the term, is a research paper based on secondary sources, with annotated bibliographies of journal articles due throughout the term. I’ve been spending some time today poking through the indexes of journals like Journal of the History of Sexuality, Gender and History, Feminist Studies, and Signs to get a feel for topics. Currently, I’m leaning toward an overview of the female orgasm in U.S. history, but if I cannot find enough on that topic, something along the lines of sex education and menstruation interests me. What topic would interest you? Think sexuality - history - U.S.
