The past (two weeks)….

Stillness and truth. Weekend retreat. Spiritual books galore: Ramana Maharshi, Eli and the enneagram (4 here), Julia and Luna, Papaji, Freedom and Resolve, Susan Griffin, interviews with Tolle. Diving deeper; self-inquiry; what is this I? Blueberry picking - three times=60+ lbs! muffins, on cereal, a cappella. Crappy, superficial movies starring Jack and Holly. Saving spiders at home and at work. The Corporation with friends and afterwards The Pied Cow and vanilla hooka smoking. Taking the day off Friday the 13th - Bush and Kerry in town (I stayed home to read). Furling galore (more on in a later post). Bicycling 98 blocks in 93 degrees to mail a package. New-to-me music: Le Tigre, Future Sound of London, Cat Power, Sarah Harmer. Absolutely in love with trees; can’t keep my hands off of them. Our garden spilling over with veggies; pears and peaches from friends. Hot and humid. Wonderful conversations with Mom about the movement, Liv Ullmann, spiritual musings. Reading on back screened-in porch in the cool of morning with coffee and toast. Final paper on patriarchy in Fairfield T.M. movement. Solitude. More solitude. The most “now” I think I’ve ever been yet also troubled and longing.

The present…

I feel sort of “precious” blogging again. It’ll pass, I’m sure.
