update
It’s been a difficult time. The schoolwork load this term has been intense. My mom told me the other night she’s going to have to (sooner than later) undergo hip replacement surgery, and in general, she’s been having a monstrous time of things lately. Looks like I’ll probably be heading out to Fairfield over Spring Break to spend some time with her.
Tonight’s the Oscars and I’m working my ass off this weekend so I can sit, relaxed, and watch the show. As large as my contempt is for corporate media, all the self-congratulatory egotism and fashion foofoo, and having to actually tune the TV to a network station, I am a movie buff and there’s something about the contest that I find good, trashy entertainment.
Oh, in other movie news, don’t even get me started on how I feel about Gibson’s “The Passion”. Well, actually, maybe I’ll post my rant about it this week sometime.
