Nottingham
Greetings from Nottingham! I am the most behind on reading blogs and news I’ve been in a long time. We have been switching on BBC News occasionally to get the English angle on world events. The British are refreshingly honest over here regarding the fiasco that is Iraq. I am missing the normal routine at home keeping on top of things, but know I will miss Britain even more. I am now used to vehicles being on this side of the road and others speaking in an accent different from mine.
Our itinerary until we return home:
- Wednesday: Liverpool and Manchester
- Thursday: a picturesque drive looping through mid-Wales
- Friday: Oxford
- Saturday: check out of resort in the wee morning hours; drive south to Bath & Bristol, then east to Stonehenge and stay the night on the way to London
- Sunday: fly out of Heathrow at 2 PM, fly into Portland at 6 PM after a 10 hour flight (damn time zone change!)
