There’s a new version of the New Testament out there for teen girls: Revolve. (link via Ladida) It comes complete with advice about guys, quizzes, celebrity birthdays, and more. The whole thing wouldn’t bother me so much if it didn’t smack of typical fundamentalist bullshit that teen girls do not need to be hearing anymore.

In one hypothetical question and answer, a girl asks, “How do you tell a friend that’s your crush that you’re into him without ruining your friendship?” Revolve counsels her: “You don’t. Sorry. God made guys to be the leaders. That means that they lead in relationships.”

Guh! While I try to be patient with some of the motivating beliefs behind fundamental Christianity, I will never understand the dark ages of sexism this extreme arm religion continues to live in.
