What a beautiful evening…It’s a warm and windy 71 degrees tonight in Portland. We just returned home from a good time out with Pamela and Aaron, eating and drinking at Montage and then catching the 9 PM showing of “Pulse” at the local IMAX theater. “Pulse” is a smorgasbord of international dance and rhythm from the creators of the “Stomp” theater show. From Japanese taiko drummers to a tabla player in India to a flamenco dancer to a chorus in Botswana, the film had us swaying in our seats for the entire hour.

Seeing things like “Pulse” is very bittersweet for me because it stirs up how much I long to travel the world and give myself over to the wonder of humanity. My heart leaps in my chest and I panic because I know if I follow it, I will end up somewhere halfway across the globe before long.
