our Echo

Last night, Jeremy and I bought the newest car I’ve ever had in my life. Our old standby station wagon, Woolley, is getting a little old and tired and we needed a zippy little car to handle the commute. It’s a 2003 Toyota Echo. Our main criteria for the car was that it get amazing gas mileage, low emissions, and be as inexpensive as possible (which ruled out a hybrid). Of course, nice colors and a kick ass sound system don’t hurt either.

Our Echo gets about 35 MPG in the city and 44 MPG highway driving. Sweet! And it only came to about $13K. It’s an automatic with a dark taupe exterior, tan interior, and it has a really smooth, bassy audio system with tape/CD. We have yet to name it, but we will, yes we will.

Pictures! Here’s a shot from the front, one from the back, one from the side, an interior shot, and one of Jer and I looking goofy inside.

I love those! Those and the new Suzuki Aerios (sp?) — I think they’re both adorable.

And Toyotas are such good little cars.

    Congrats!
