Mama week
It’s been a while since posting and like many things, it’s been difficult to coax myself back into the habit. My mom came out from Iowa and spent six days on our fold-out couch. The week was a whirlwind of activity; I took her to Portland Saturday Market, her first IMAX show (“Bears”), the Japanese Garden (will post photos soon), on numerous errands, etc. We also sat around the house talking a lot. Like most times we get together, my mom and I went up and down emotionally with each other at the start, but the last few days were warm and sweet.
I’m playing catch-up now after taking so many days away from my “normal” schedule. I haven’t been following the war at all, and feel really in the dark about it. I need to finish my taxes and talk to an academic advisor at PSU, where I’m transferring in the fall. This is my last free weekend before Spring term and I’m viewing it like some precious commodity - a weekend with no homework!
Will post profusely later on more specific items…
