“…to sit still and breathe”
Just this past year or two, I’ve developed a true affinity for a good cup of tea. In every season but summer, Jeremy and I typically drink a cup each night and most days I have an afternoon cup, whether I’m at home studying or at school. You should see our tea cabinet - no fewer than 15 boxes! It’s all bagged tea, in varieties ranging from the herbal (organic peppermint and lemon) to exotic teas I’ve discovered recently like rooibos, lime, and cocoa spice. Then there’s always the familiar Maharishi Ayurvedic teas that I grew up with that come in handy from time to time such as Pitta tea or Worry-Free. My preference is usually black teas (Earl Grey, etc) with a little milk and sugar.
So, the other day I read Caterina’s eloquent post about tea and have been pleasantly haunted by it ever since. Now I’m itching to cross over into the world of loose-leaf! The imports she describes (such as the Kousmichoff Russian Morning Tea) sound incredible. If I weren’t so swamped with finals, I would trek to The Tao of Tea this weekend. Anyway, the comments on Caterina’s post are equally fun and informative and in one, Ryan points to his tea snob post.
