I switched to a new web host over the weekend. I highly recommend this new service - Dr2.net (thank you Ariel!). The prices are absolutely unbelievable! I was paying $86 a year with my old host for 50MB of space, 10 e-mail accounts, etc… Now with Dr2, I pay $30 per year for 350MB of space, unlimited e-mail accounts, etc! That’s right, $30 per year, no gimmick. I’ve uploaded and switched everything over and everything about the new host has been easy to work with so far.
Seriously folks, if you’ve even had a moment of thought toward getting your own personal domain name site online - it’d only cost you $24 per year. Dr2.net’s value plan is $15/year (for 100MB of space!) and you can get $8.95/yr. domain names at Go Daddy.com. I really don’t understand why anyone goes with free pages like Geocities anymore with that kind of price for your own domain and e-mail address.
