cranes
I’ve been really non-enthused lately about blogging or working on this site. I don’t know what it is, a few months ago even I was reading others’ blogs every day and really into it, and now I’m just bored with the idea. Maybe it’s just a phase everyone with a weblog goes through at some point.
I saw one of my favorite bands, cranes, on Saturday. So exciting! I’ve adored them since 1994 and this was my first time seeing them live. The band played a 4 song acoustic set at Music Millennium music store at 3:30 PM and I got the lead singer Ali’s autograph. Then that night, cranes performed at Berbati’s Pan, a local nightclub and I have to say, it was one of the best shows I’ve ever attended. They played a ton of songs, including two encores. The sound was perfect and I stood fairly close and there were “my people” all around (mainly friendly goth-types). *sigh* I love the atmosphere created at shows like that. Anyway, cranes’ music is beautiful, somber, chill-out stuff and I suggest you check ‘em out. Here is an mp3 of one of my fave songs - Cloudless (from “Forever”) for you to download. Below is a picture from the acoustic set courtesy of Kaliq from Starblood.org.
