Gimme!
I had been thinking recently how it’s perfect timing that I’m leaving my full-time job and returning to school because there’s not much I can think of lately that I have to have or need to buy. I have a huge music collection, 150+ books I’ve bought and not yet read, all of the software I need to create anything I would want at this time, no desire to clothes-shop, etc. Then suddenly, just TODAY, I am seized with materialism! Left and right, there are things I see just today that I must have (but haven’t bought yet):
· Blanket with sleeves - for reading and watching movies on the couch.
· Massaging bed lounge - perfect for leaning back against to read on the floor or in bed.
· A few new items added to my Amazon wishlist, including the “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” DVD.
· I put in a bid at EBay on the out of print CD of the original cast soundtrack of “Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris”. $15 is a bargain; I’ve seen this auctioned off for $90 in the past.
· I want the RioVolt SP100 Portable CD/MP3 Player - for all of the walks I’ll be going on, road trips and weekend night driving.
· A $19.95 year-long membership to SingleFile - “the easy-to-use web-based service that helps you organize the books you own, the books you are reading, the books you’ve read and the books you want to read.” Cool web app of the day for sure!
