Cables and power

My life is definitely turning inside out: the dull days are done.

Last night, I finally had time to plug the USB cable into my computer for my new digital camera. Now it’s set! I am planning on taking pics to match my poems for this site, so the verse can be more than some-color-text on some-color-background. While I was at, I asked Jeremy to hook up the midi cables from computer to keyboard for music-making. After tinkering until about 11:30 PM, I was able to record three 5-second tracks and hear the playback! Very excited, I woke Jer up in bed by rolling around on him and squeaking exuberantly.

We’re off to my boss’ beach house for the weekend first thing tomorrow morning. He owns this house with three other parties; it’s located about two hours away on the Oregon coast near Pacific City. Will be toting along camera, a few interesting books, completely casual clothes, the dogs, a fine bottle of wine, and a notebook.

It’s easier and easier lately to be with others. I can really get that when I am standing in being powerful and present, it is effortless to be with other people’s power - the jealousy, competitiveness, spite, and intimidation is absent. I am equal and you are equal and we each have something to offer. I’m going to take on “listening for the gold” - those glistening nuggets in others’ everyday expression. What a miraculous and unexpected phenomenon! - when I listen you as powerful, I feel powerful.
